During installation of wheel studs there can be damage done when using your lug nuts as a driving force to get the stud into the hub. A better solution for the installation process is to use our hex nuts that will lock on the stud when tightened together, which will cause less of a strain on the threads of the wheel stud. Your lug nuts were not designed or intended to install wheel studs, and now with these hex nuts you will not have to cause possible damage to them.
