Reduces Vanos sweep to increase buffer for piston to valve contact. These are not required for most cam installs, but they will error-proof the install (almost) and give a higher safety margin. Use the smallest shim you can for your application - the bigger the shim, the more Vanos is limited, and the less power you make.
Installs in OEM Vanos unit in under an hour. Small shim recommended for Stage 1 and 2 Sunbelt cams. Large shim recommended with Sunbelt Stage 3 full race cams.
Machined aluminum, fits all M50 based single-Vanos engines, including 323, 325, 328, M3 and Z3 6-cylinder.
