Low Viscosity is very important to ensure agood bleed, low Compressibility is essential for a pedal, andLubricity is vitally important for efficiency, pedal return, andlife of the brake system. BEWARE: Many Racing BrakeFluids do not meet the Viscosity requirements of DOT4.

RH665 Racing Brake Fluid conforms to and exceeds all aspects of theUS FMVSS 116 DOT4 specification. This means that it is hasbeen tested and is compatible with all the rubbers (SBR, EPDM, etc)and metals commonly used in brake systems and will not damagethem. It also means that RH665 is entirely streetlegal. BEWARE: Many Racing Brake Fluids on the marketdo not conform to specificatíons and therefore cannot be guaranteednot to damage your brake system.

RH665 can safely be mixed withother DOT4 Brake Fluids however this will degrade its exceptionalproperties.
RH665 is not suitable for use in Contact with Magnesium componentsor in mineral oil based systems.
For best results bleed the system with fresh fluid before eachevent and when the brakes have been excessively hot and/or theconditions are especially humid. Always follow the vehiclemanufacturers recommendations.

Sold in 500mL bottles for maximumfreshness

Visit Fluids to see additional products in this category.

Although Red Lineracing oils are categorized as “straight grades”, theirlow-temperature properties make them exceptional multigrades,allowing 2-4% more power than an oil of similar viscosity, whileproviding much more protection. Each reduction in viscosity gradeallows 1-2% more power. To reduce the chance of detonation, ourrace oils contain very few detergents and are not recommended forstreet use.

One of the biggest topics in modern synthetic engine oils is thelevel of Zinc Dialkyl-Dithio-Phosphate (ZDDP) anti-wear additivecontained in the oil. ZDDP protects by creating a film on cams andflat lifter contact points in response to the extreme pressure andheat at the contact point. The film of zinc and phosphoruscompounds provides a sacrificial wear surface protecting the basemetal of the cam and lifter from wear. Every synthetic engine oilmanufacturer has different levels of this particular additiveincluded in their base-stock, among other additives to increase theamount of anti-wear properties in the oil. The real issue is modernAPI (American Petroleum Institute) approved oils lack the anti-wearproperties needed for our performance driven engines. There arenumerous reasons why the EPA has required the removal of theseanti-wear additives from modern oils including added pollution andincreased cost of these particular elements. These modern "updated"oils have almost zero ZDDP, and this can play a serious role inyour engine's lifespan, whether your dealer will inform you of thisor not! So, if you can find an API approval stamp on the label of aquart of oil, chances are it lacks the anti-wear properties neededfor proper protection. This is unfortunate, because a majority ofoil manufacturers have "met" these specifications so the everydaycustomer and "quickie lube" will use their lubricants. This leavesour options at the local auto parts store slim for finding aquality lubricant.

Fortunately, there are still oil manufacturers making the best oilsthey can produce, with no interest in reducing their anti-wearadditives to be API compliant. Red Line is one of thosemanufacturers, and the brand we fully stand behind! Everyquart of Red Line engine oil has a complete anti-wear packagecontaining ZDDP and other anti-wear additives for proper engineprotection. All of our pro-level race cars use off the shelf RedLine products in the engine, transmission, and differential. Ourstreet cars also use Red Line products to increase longevity andperformance. We'll go to the local auto shop for our car wax andwash, but not our lubricants!

Expected oil life in track conditions is approximately 1000 miles,or 10 on-track hours at full rev use.
<font aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0"size="2" face="Arial">
The following is a very general <font aria-level="0"aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" size="2" face="Arial">guidelinefor oil weight selection. Engine designs are different, andengines change as they wear. We suggest a higher weight oilfor high-mileage engines or engines that show signs of significantwear - usually one grade higher. Correct engine oil temp is212F-275F, with ideal approximately 250F, but Red Line Oil willperform well at 300F and can withstand even higher forlimited intervals. If your engine temps are too high, go upone weight.

<table aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" border="1"height="278">

<b aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0"aria-setsize="0"><font aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0"aria-setsize="0" color="#FFFFFF" size="2" face="Arial">RecommendedViscosity, under 200f degree Operating Temp.

<b aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0"aria-setsize="0"><font aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0"aria-setsize="0" color="#FFFFFF" size="2" face="Arial">RecommendedViscosity, above 200f degree Operating Temp.

<font aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0"aria-setsize="0" size="2" face="Arial">S54, S62 after 02/00, S65,S85

<td aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" width="40%"align="center">
<font aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0"aria-setsize="0" size="2" face="Arial">40WT

<td aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" width="40%"align="center">
<font aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0"aria-setsize="0" size="2" face="Arial">50WT

<font aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0"aria-setsize="0" size="2" face="Arial"><font aria-level="0"aria-posinset="0" aria-setsize="0" color="#000000">M52TU, M54, M60,M62, N52, N53, N54, N62, N63, N73, Red Line lubricants contain polyol-esterbase-stocks, the only lubricants which can withstand the tremendousheat of modern jet engines, which makes our motor oil a necessityto properly lubricate a turbocharger or hot-running engine. Thesynthetic base-stocks have a natural multi-grade property, whichmeans that large amounts of unstable polymeric thickeners are notrequired to manufacture our multi-grades. Red Line Synthetic MotorOils will provide better protection than a petroleum oil of thenext higher viscosity grade under high shear conditions. Auto manufacturers, including BMW, arestretching their intervals to excessive levels in the name of"modern oil technology" (and cost savings in free maintenanceprograms). Modern synthetics are much better than olderconventional oils, but we feel they're still not good enough to go15,000 miles of average daily driving, during which oils arecontaminated with exhaust blow-by particles (that later turns tosludge in higher volume). <b aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0"aria-setsize="0">To get an idea of what 15,500 oil changes looklike after 90,000 miles, click on the Red Line oil quart at theright to see a BMW M54 engine head after extended oil services...not pretty! The engine was so sludged it had to be disassembledand rebuilt, a considerable cost compared to just reducing your oilchange intervals! Save yourself this despair by changing yourengine oil every 5-6k miles with quality engine oils with properanti-wear additives. If you still feel you have to use API approvedengine oil, we suggest using Red Line's anti-wear "break-in"additive found in our fluids section. This additive is more thanjust a break-in fluid and includes the ZDDP and anti-wear elementsnot contained in API approved oils.
<div aria-level="0" aria-posinset="0" Its wetboiling point of 500°F is vastly superior to the minimumrequirement demanded by the current US DOT 4 specification. Itsability to withstand temperatures in excess of 590°F and superiorresistance to the effects of absorbed water have establishedCastrol SRF Brake Fluid as the world's premier fluid for thehydraulic brakes used in all forms of motorsport andracing.

Available in 1 liter size

Castrol service life is limited to 18 months

Take a few minutes to find out why Castrol SRF brake fluid reallyis the ultimate:

Castrol SRF evolved as a directresult of Castrol's ongoing Research and Development program forbrake fluids which identified this silicon ester technology asproviding considerable performance benefits when compared withconventional glycol ether borate ester fluids.

Following exhaustive laboratorytests at Castrol's International Technology Centre in the UK, thefinal formulation for Castrol SRF was subjected to an extensiveroad-test program on the Gross Glockner and Stelvio passes high inthe Austrian and Italian Alps. It then underwent an independenttrack test program conducted by a famous Formula One racing team.Their assessment was that "Castrol SRF is the best racing brakefluid we have ever used."

Subsequently, Castrol SRF wasoffered to top flight racing and rally teams throughout the worldincluding most of the Formula One teams, the all-conquering Jaguarand Mercedes -Benz sports car teams and the Audi, Nissan and Toyotarally teams. Enthusiastic recommendation by these experts sooncreated an immense interest in Castrol SRF throughout the wholespectrum of national and international motorsport. Today, CastrolSRF is regarded by the international motorsport community as beingwithout equal and it is chosen not only by factory-supported teamsbut by private competitors throughout the world.

All conventional brake fluids usedin cars and motor cycles are hygroscopic, that is, they absorbwater from their surroundings. Strange though it may seem, theflexible hoses incorporated in braking systems are permeable towater and in time enough, water can find its way into the systemvia the hoses, and seriously affect the brake fluid's performance.This water reduces the boiling point of the fluid (i.e., it lowersthe temperature at which gas bubbles begin to form). When thesebubbles form, they turn a virtually incompressible liquid into amixture of gas and liquid which can be compressed quiteconsiderably, thus severely reducing the efficiency of the brakes.In this situation, a driver finds that the brakes feel spongy.Brake-pedal travel will increase and it may be necessary to 'pump'the pedal to get the brakes to function effectively. However, whenthe brake fluid reaches a temperature at which the water in thefluid causes gas to be produced, which is equal to the volume sweptby the piston in the rake master-cylinder, vapor-lock occurs andthe brakes become inoperative. When this happens, the firstindication the driver has that something is wrong is when heapplies the brakes. The pedal goes down to the floor and the carcarries on at undiminished - and possibly fatal speed.

The silicon ester technology inCastrol SRF addresses this problem in two ways. Firstly, CastrolSRF is less hygroscopic than conventional brake fluids - it absorbsless water in a given time. Secondly, unlike conventional glycolether fluids, Castrol SRF reacts chemically with the absorbed waterto reduce its adverse effects, thus preventing the fluid's hightemperature performance and safety margins from deteriorating asrapidly as they would otherwise do.

Castrol SRF exceeds the US FederalStandards FMVSS 116 DOT 3 and DOT 4, ISO 4925, JIS K2233 andcurrent SAE J1703 and is miscible with all conventional brakefluids conforming to these standards. However, mixing Castrol SRFand conventional brake fluids will reduce the benefits of CastrolSRF. It is strongly recommended that conventional brake fluid bedrained from the system before flushing and refilling with CastrolSRF.

Visit Fluids to see additional products in this category.

The lube prevents metal contact uponstartup before adequate lubrication is supplied. Provides threetimes greater film strength than conventional black MolybdenumDisulfide greases and will not clog oil filters. This productclings to all surfaces and is an excellent rust inhibitor, allowingthe storage of parts for years. A thin film of protection is allthat is required on mating parts.

<font size="2"face="Arial" aria-setsize="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-level="0">RedLine Assembly Lube will mix with Red Line motor oil and can be usedon all lubricated parts such as cams, followers, pistons, bearings,and bolt threads. Use only a small amount on bearing and pistonsurfaces - too much can make it difficult to turn over the engine.Red Line Assembly Lube is an excellent corrosion inhibitor and canbe used on machined surfaces to provide long-term corrosionprotection. Do not use on exhaust bolts or other high temperaturebolts which require an anti-seize.

<font size="2"face="Arial" aria-setsize="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-level="0">The1/2oz. jar is great for camshaft installations or any job requiringonly a small amount of assembly lube.
