The SSI Stealth Underpanel is the ultimate replacement for the failure-prone underpanel on your BMW E36 front bumper assembly. Although the stock plastic under tray and "pork chops" are designed to protect your engine from road debris and reinforce the bumper cover, it tends to get damaged easily from curbs, speed bumps, and aging. This piece has a notorious tendency to tear away from your BMW at speed, and that can easily cause other damage when it happens
With 3D Solidworks computer design and extensive experience with the BMW E36 3-Series chassis, SSI has created a much more robust, single-piece design made from a special UV-stable, crinkle-finish, black polyethylene. Not only is it a great looking piece, but it's designed to withstand extreme environments and will allow flex without actually bending or shattering on impact, even in very cold weather that makes other materials brittle. Unlike the weak factory BMW panel, the SSI Stealth Underpanel would nearly require a front end collision to remove it!
The Stealth Underpanel makes your front end look whole again and improves aerodynamics, plus it's very effective at keeping out the rocks and road debris that can damage your engine's belts, pulleys, and other vital components. Lowered cars benefit even further with the added ground clearance over the factory multi-piece design.
Kit comes with all parts, hardware, and instructions, and installation takes approximately 30 minutes using a Philips screwdriver, 7- and 8-mm sockets, and a drill with a 1/8" bit.
