Stealth Underpanel is the culmination of many hours of problem
solving geared towards the e36 front bumper assembly. The stock
plastic under tray and pork chops used to protect the engine from
road debris and reinforce the bumper cover have a habit of ripping
away from the car at speed, when bumped into curbs or over
speedbumps, or from age in general.
Using 3D Solidworks computer design and a bit of effort, SSI
has created a much more sturdy, one-piece design made from a
special UV stable, crinkle finish, black polyethylene. The material
not only is very attractive, but is made to withstand harsh extreme
environments and will flex but not bend or shatter on impact even
in very cold weather. Now it would nearly require a front end
collision to remove it!
Stealth Underpanel will end your need to think about the underside
of your front bumper. Not only will it make your front end look
whole again and improve its aerodynamics over the missing pieces,
but it will keep out the rocks and road debris which can damage the
engine’s belts, pulleys, and other vital components. Lowered cars
benefit even further with the added ground clearance.

Nicely made piece, good fit, interesting directions but easy installation.

This thing is really thick and tough and provides excellent protection for that expensive radiator and oil cooler. It comes with all the mounting hardware and good directions. An added bonus is that it smooths out the airflow under the car a bunch. You can feel the stability on the long straights at VIR.

Wow, this thing is really impressive. The instructions could use some work. They are thorough, dont doubt that (like 8 pages or something), just not written very well. Lots of extra words and explanation that is simply confusing.Once I scrapped the instructions and just went with what made it sense the whole install went a little quicker. Its really one of the best thought out and best designed after market products I've seen. My wheel well liners were totally thrashed, and probaly could have used replacing, but this helped to keep it in place and total stiffens the front plastic bits rather well.Absolutely recommended, so much so I am likely buying one for my race car too!
A Bit Big for Fat Sways, but Good

If you have a bigger front sway on your M3 this product is a bit long from nose to rear (not an issue w/stock sways). It needed a little bit of cutting. The good news is any shop with decent equipment can do this.Otherwise this is a well made part and probably the toughest, most cost effective one out there. Very good hole positions by SSI.

Great quality. Installation was a bit tough. Front end feels a lot more planted at speed now
