We have combined two of our favorite
power adding products for the E46 3 Series into one wallet friendly
package. The HKS Exhaust system is one of the few systems that
include high flow mid pipes in the kit for decreased backpressure
right out of the down pipes. As for the Shark injector, we all know
it's reputation for increasing power effectively and
easily.
This combined kit opens up
12-15hp and8-12Ft/lbs of torque (depending on
application) from your M54 engine while providing a throaty,
drone-free sound and higher free-revving redline.
Exhaust:
The HKS E46 Stainless Steel Exhaust
System is easily considered one of the highest quality, most
complete performance systems on the market. Not just an axle-back
rear muffler system - the HKS system starts directly after the down
pipes. Constructed using full stainless steel, mandrel bent tubing
sized larger than stock for decreased backpressure and increase
exhaust flow. The HKS system uses dual resonators for a clean sound
with no backpressure increase, and merges the exhaust into a single
pipe (similar to the design of our race exhausts) for increased
scavenging and balanced pipe pressures. Exhaust gases exit through
dual burnished titanium 65mm tips for an ultra-premium
look.
The sound can be
described as a mellow burble that is subtle under partial throttle
and normal cruising, meaning no drone on the highway and no nasty
looks from bystanders or the local authorities. Stomp on the go
pedal and a refined, throaty, but not overbearing tone ensues. This
exhaust is perfect for someone that wants excellent quality and
performance, but doesn't want to announce it to the
world.
The HKS exhaust
system is engineered to comply with the 95dB noise limit law
specified by the California Highway Patrol and the Society of
Automotive Engineers. The system is a direct bolt-on including all
necessary gaskets and hardware for simple installation for the
do-it-yourself enthusiast.

Shark Performance Engine Software represents the most
cost-effective approach to increasing engine performance. It has
been dyno-tested to provide a safe increase in power by altering
fuel enrichment, cam timing and ignition timing specifically for
use with premium gasoline. Our OBD II Performance Engine Software
also provides an increase in the factory rev-limit allowing for
optimum shift points for maximum acceleration. Not only do we
re-map part-throttle fuel and spark, we also re-map other areas of
chips other tuners don't touch - such as acceleration enrichment,
transition fueling (how the car responds to rapid change in pedal),
and VANOS control as needed to optimize the vehicle for operation
on premium fuel.
