Lighter than the already light
TE37, weight optimized, and strong enough for our M3 racecars to
pound on for hours. Limited Edition in gloss black with
either red or blue decals and valve stems.
The
BimmerWorld View - We first raced on Volk TE37 wheels in
2010 with our ST race program. Having been on another leading
forged wheel for several years (and destroying countless forged
wheels before that), we were overly impressed. They were
light (HUGE competitive advantage to remove unsprung rotating mass)
and incredibly strong. After a full year of endurance racing,
we didn't bend a single wheel while hammering apex curbing - only
when we hit other cars... In 2011 with the start of the E92
M3 GS program, we decided to use this special version of the TE37
(sold as the TE37SL) which pulls out over a pound from the normal
TE37 and due to weight optimization, produces an even stronger
wheel in the process. And after a year of racing our brutish
3600-pound M3s on them, we are believers. Light, strong, and
durable - rarely seen in the wheel world.
Volk Racing is the premier wheel
line from RAYS Engineering, incorporating all of RAYS' top-level
technologies learned in Super GT, Touring Car racing, LeMans and
Formula One into its trend-setting designs. Volk Racing wheel
styles feature optimum caliper clearance, increased lip size and a
wide combination of face contours to perfectly match the desired
application. The quality, strength, and brake clearance of this
wheel makes it our wheel of choice for our GRAND-AM racing
program.
The 1-piece forged Volk Racing TE37
is one of the most popular performance street and track wheels from
Rays Engineering. The material used to construct the wheel is hot
forged 6061 aircraft grade aluminum. The forging process used to
construct the wheel is known as RAYS Original Forging Technology
(RM8000), and is done with multiple pressures of 5,000 kilograms
per square centimeter followed by the 2nd slow forging process of
3,500 kilograms per square centimeter including the high pressure
forging of the wheel's lip. This is a versatile process that
creates a balance of light weight, strength, durability and
rigidity. RAYS independently developed and patented the RM8000
forging process and designed the machines used to perfect the flow
of metal ensuring structural integrity is maintained in the final
wheel design. After this process, the RM8000 forging technology is
used to uniformly press the wheel from the top, bottom, and sides
in a high-speed spinning process that extrudes the wheel into its
final form with only minimal machining required (further promoting
structural integrity).
Design, development, testing and
manufacturing of Volk Racing wheels is done in-house at RAYS
Engineering resulting in a product that not only conforms to RAYS'
strict internal JWL + R standards but also meets RAYS' goals toward
the advancement of the "motorsports culture" and the satisfaction
of high-end customers who demand wheels that are strong and
light.
Valve stem included. These wheels
are a competition design and intended to be as light as possible -
as such they are not made to accept a center cap.

Volk wheel ordering process:
A Volk wheel set is a premium, custom product that requires
top-notch customer attention and care. Choosing the correct wheel
fitment can be a confusing task that requires a lot of research and
a potential for second guessing. Please contact a BimmerWorld sales
person to help you select a wheel set that best suites your exact
need and application. We have a wealth of knowledge in 3 Series
wheel fitment among other BMW applications.
*Wheel offset is the distance from
the center of the rim to the mating surface of the wheel. Volk
offers numerous wheel offsets and we can help you choose the best
offset for your application. Please contact a sales person for
available offsets.
