The best solution for solving the
premature E46 front bushing wear problem!
The Powerflex E46 Front control arm
bushing is one of our #1 selling products. The factory rubber
bushing is a delicate piece that wears prematurely, creating sloppy
steering, bad inner tire wear, and a jolting steering wheel under
braking. Instead of replacing this bushing set with factory
bushings every 40k miles, we suggest upgrading to the Powerflex
urethane bushings for a long lasting upgrade that will increase
steering response, reduce uneven tire wear, and reduce maintenance
These bushings add minimal, if any,
NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness), and are suggested for street
dedicated cars and auto-x/ driving school cars as well*. One of the
best features of these bushings is their 2 piece design. The
bushings are made in 2 pieces so the rotation occurs between the
urethane for a squeak free, easily lube-able bushing with a
considerably increased lifespan. The inner bushing is grooved to
hold the copper based lube (supplied with kit) for numerous
A set includes 2 bushings
and lube for a complete kit. No other
parts are necessary. If your E46 has more than 90k miles, we
suggest taking a hard look at the front control arm's ball joints
for wear as well. Any movement at these ball joints can produce bad
tire wear and handling.

Installation of this product was a breeze. My mechanic had the stock bushings out and these in within an hour. Cornering is sharp and the ride is still quiet. I'd recommend these to anyone who is replacing their bushings.
Absolutely worth the money

Outstanding bushings. Installed for 2 years and 40,000 miles and absolutely would do again. No squeeks/vibrations or anything on the street. Installed with Meyle arms and the steering feel is best of any car I've ever owned. I see one reviewer said the bushing fell out of the back and that will happen....if you install them backwards! Install them correctly and they are nothing but good. Will likely get the Powerflex RTABs shortly.

Obviously, OEM part is poorly designed and prone to failure. This upgrade was a quick job, parts fit exactly, and it has barely affected ride comfort at all. Especially considering how much it has improved handling and braking feel.Celebratory Gummis and a beer afterwards, you can be pretty satisfied in a short time!2001 330i w/sport pkg.

they were installed within 2 hours and the steering is great!

Just bought my 04-325xi and took it to mountains. Had a violent shimmy under heavy load during acceleration, and if i hit the brakes i would practically change lanes. I put these on, took me about 4 hours, and not the car tracks and brakes like its supposed to. Unfortunately, there is not an online instructional for the install so you had better have the factory manual and some good mechanical experience. Next project is the rear trailing arm busings replaced with Powerflex.
