The NT01 is a DOT
approved competition radial with the weekend road racer and track
enthusiast in mind. This is the tire we run endurance races
with and would choose for a track weekend tire.
An asymmetrical,
non-directional tread pattern is optimized for dry racing
conditions. The compound was developed to provide the best balance
of traction, consistency, heat cycle performance, heat resistance,
and longevity. The sidewall construction is optimized for quick
steering response, accurate response, and increased driver
confidence. Beginning with a tread depth of 6/32", the NT01
can be shaved to 4/32" to reveal a "slick" tread surface with two
circumferential tread grooves.
