In 2001, BMW replaced the more conventional throttle cable for an ECM (Electronic Control Module) that translates how hard the pedal is pushed into electronic signals in order to provide power to the wheels. The ETC (Electronic Throttle Control), which is also known as Drive-By-Wire, has the unfortunate downside of delayed response and subdued acceleration, which can create problems in certain situations such as up-hill starts, quick gear changes and overtaking. Sprint Booster'sThrottle Enhancer cures this issue by providing a livelier throttle pedal and snappy response of a proper cable-driven throttle. It sends an improved signal to the ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) which is amplified or "boosted" so that throttle is noticeably more responsive throughout the entire rpm range.

Sprint Booster makes your car's throttle respond faster to your foot. As a result, your gas pedal actually achieves a full throttle response 25% sooner than the stock configuration. Even if you have a 'sport' button, the Throttle Enhancer will quicken the throttle response time.
