When you hear the "thud", your rear diff mount's a dud!
Our heavy duty rear differential mount is the best upgrade for your current worn unit. The original mount in this particular location wears prematurely and can cause a heavy "thud" during shifting and spontaneous throttle inputs. It's open hydro fluid filled design does a great job of reducing NVH, but can have a service life of less than 60K miles on performance driven cars. Our heavy duty unit is made of solid robber for a stiffer feel while retaining the safety and comfort of the stock mount. The E46 non-M cars have 3 differential mounts - 2 front mounts and 1 rear. This heavy duty mount is the rear location which is the typical failure part. We also have the front rubber mounts available. Four year warranty included with all HD products.
