Hyperco helper springs are used to
keep the main spring tight between the perches when the suspension
is at full droop. A helper spring has a very soft rate, about 10
lbs/in., only giving enough force to push the main springs up
against the upper spring perch. A helper spring guide is necessary
to center the helper spring against the main spring.
