The BMW's Performance sport steering
wheel is one of the most impressive parts available for the E9X 3
Series and E8X 1 Series. With inspiration taken straight from
Formula 1, the BMW Performance steering wheel has digital readouts
across the top containing addition information needed for
performance driving... Very cool!
These additional information
readouts include:
- Lap times
- Split times
- Maximum speed
- Straight line
acceleration
- Lateral acceleration
- 1/4 mile times
- Progressive LED gear shift
indication
- Water temperature
readings
- Oil temperature
readings
The driver has the ability to scroll
through desired functions via buttons at the 10 o'clock and 2
o'clock positions. The BMW Performance steering wheel also features
alcantara (synthetic suede) material for added grip and feel. The
feel of alcantara is fantastic, assuring increased grip for track
days and spirited country drives! White stitching details to the
rim are also added for BMW Individual levels of quality for the
most distinguished enthusiast. Full instructions are included, but
professional installation is suggested.
