The BMW
Performance E8X 1 Series (128i and 135i) Short Shift Kit is
designed to shorten gear changes by 25% while still retaining the
smooth, notchless feel of the factory shifter. There are only a few
short shift kits on the market that can deliver the short,
notchless throw with zero vibration that Rogue Engineering and BMW
Performance provide. Until Rogue Engineering finalizes the research
and development of their 1 Series shifter, we will be selling the
BMW Performance kit exclusively.
The kit
includes the shifter, alcantara shift boot with white stitching,
and alcantara/ alloy shift knob for a clean "OE Plus" look. The use
of black alcantara and aluminum inserts make for a striking design
detail that enhances the cockpit of your BMW. The best feature of
this knob is the ability to secure properly to the shifter in the
same fashion as a OE knob, versus most aftermarket knobs using a
set screw.
