Active Autowerke 135/335 Front Mount Intercooler Kit

Intake air temperature means everything in a forced induction engine. The cooler the air, the more air and fuel you can pump through the engine, making more power! And as you put more boost to the engine, or demand more performance from it, the heat load increases - thus the need for better cooling of the intake air charge.

Unlike most aftermarket intercoolers that replace the factory piece with a more efficient exchanger in the same location, the Active piece is taller, giving more surface area, which is the most critical dimension affecting intercooler efficiency. The Active Autowerke intercooler kit increases the intercooler's capacity by 88% and places the unit directly up front for even more efficient cooling. Tests show a 30 degree temperature drop at the intake manifold with a gain of 12hp at the wheels.

Highly suggested for track driven cars due to excessive engine operating temperatures after only short on-track stints (heatsoak).

Kit includes: intercooler, powder coated piping with silicone hoses and clamps, mounting brackets, and Active's excusive air diversion plates.
